TEL (919) 719-4716

FAX (919) 873-1814

Although her roots can be traced back to Minnesota, Meg spent much of her childhood in the triad of North Carolina where her family remains today. She took interest in the law at a young age; however, an undergraduate internship at a civil defense litigation firm solidified her path to law school. Meg received a degree in Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University and went on to complete the Juris Doctor program at North Carolina Central University School of Law.

During law school, Meg completed two internships and was active in the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Since graduating, her knowledge in civil litigation has developed through exposure to a variety of liability matters including motor vehicle negligence, wrongful death, construction law and workers’ compensation. Meg also gained experience early in her career as a plaintiff’s attorney, which allows her to anticipate challenges that may arise for the defense.

Meg has always been creatively inclined. Throughout her youth, these creative traits were developed in choirs, school plays and musicals. As an adult, Meg uses her creative processes for the betterment of her clients; striving for efficiency, interpreting cases with a fresh perspective and depth, and suggesting creative solutions that are in line with a client’s goals and objectives. She thrives on the detail-oriented nature of her work and can vividly remember the facts of almost every case on her docket without having to look at them. Meg enjoys working one on one with clients and industry experts to analyze the issues in question and better understand how they will affect the outcome of the case. She believes that there are multiple ways to approach any problem and working together produces a better result.

After practicing law for a few years in Virginia, Meg is happy to be back in North Carolina with her husband and young son. On the weekends, they are either traveling to the triad to visit family or spending the day feeding giraffes at the North Carolina Zoo. She appreciates all the state has to offer in terms of family activities but Disney World and New York City are her favorite travel destinations. Meg is also a cycling enthusiast and keeps her creative brain engaged by crafting and singing with her son.
